Future Faculty Training (FFT)

The Future Faculty Training (FFT) certificate program comprises a Career Pathways in Academia (1.5 credits BIOEN 599,), Introduction to Pedagogy (Ctr. For Educational Learning) and a new course Teaching Technologies for Scientists and Engineers that evolved into a full 10 week course in series with Introduction to Pedagogy. Students receive training in career choices in academia, grant writing, pedagogical methods, applying for positions, preparing statements of research interests, interviewing, job seminars, and student learning objectives, course design, evaluation and assessment.
